NSWMA Councils & Institutes

NSWMA's Institutes are policy-making groups that develop positions on national issues. They are open to any member of NSWMA for a fee and are free for member companies whose annual membership dues are $20,000 or greater. Participants share information and ideas with other members through meetings and conference calls, receive exclusive information on federal legislation and develop and take positions on federal laws and regulations.
NSWMA's Councils are groups of individuals attempting to better the solid wastes industry by exchanging information and ideas.

Chairman's Council

This group provides an opportunity for owners and senior managers at privately held companies to visit various waste facilities, including transfer stations, MRFs and landfills, as well as to share ideas about the industry and socialize.

EIA Women's Council

The mission of this council is to benefit the waste industry by the professional advancement of women through meaningful and useful education, assistance, support and mentoring. More

EIA Future Industry Leaders Alliance (FILA)

Landfill Institute

The Landfill Institute is a policy-making group within the National Solid Wastes Management Association. Members are owners and operators of landfills and consultants, engineers, and attorneys providing services to landfills. Brochure | Application

Medical Waste Institute

Members of this institute are involved in the transport, treatment, and disposal of medical waste. They may also manufacture or distribute products used in the industry, or provide consulting, engineering or legal services to companies involved in this type of business.
