Distinguished Service Award
Distinguished Service Awards will be made to long-standing members of the association who have rendered service in pursuit of its mission and goals, generally spanning a number of years.
WASTEC Member of the Year Award
The Member of the Year will be selected based upon extraordinary service to the mission and goals of the association and the industry over the last 12 months. The award is presented to recognize the highest spirit of volunteerism and involvement, personal integrity, professionalism, and performance in an honorable and ethical manner.
WASTEC Employees of the Year
WASTEC Employees of the Year demonstrate diligence and ingenuity at a WASTEC member company in one of the following three areas:
-
Engineering: The candidate does not have to be a degreed engineer, but must be involved in the design of a product or in a manufacturing/industrial engineering position. The employee will be judged on contributions in design, evaluation, and manufacturing.
-
Production: The candidate must be a frontline worker involved in the actual manufacturing/assembling of equipment. The employee will be judged on contributions in the areas of quality, productivity, service, and cost reduction.
- Sales/Marketing: The candidate must be involved in the sales/marketing of their company’s product or service at the representative level. The employee will be judged on specific successes in the areas of sales, marketing, and customer service.
Eligibility
The award recipient must be an employee of a WASTEC member company, and the nominating company must be a member in good standing, at the time of the nomination as well as when the awards are presented. Past winners may not receive the same award in two consecutive years. Should your employee be chosen as a winner, it is understood that he/she will travel to WasteExpo 2010, at your company’s expense, to accept the award.
