EIA Hall Of Fame
The Environmental Industry Associations' Hall of Fame recognizes leaders in the waste industry who have distinguished themselves through significant contributions to the solid waste industry and their community and have been actively engaged in the business for at least 25 years.

EIA Women’s Council Scholarships
The EIA Women’s Council established an educational scholarship program to assist qualified individuals in their pursuit of an education that will lead to productive careers in the environmental industry. All NSWMA and WASTEC member employees and their dependents are eligible to apply. The Women's Council has awarded scholarships to about twenty students during the last 6 years.

NSWMA Member of the Year Awards
The Member of the Year will be selected based upon extraordinary service to the mission and goals of NSWMA and the industry over the last 12 months. The award need not be presented each year, but only when a qualified candidate is nominated.

NSWMA Distinguished Service Awards
Distinguished Service Awards will be made to longstanding members of NSWMA who have rendered service in pursuit of its mission and goals over a period of time, generally spanning a number of years. The award is presented to recognize the highest spirit of volunteerism and involvement, personal integrity, professionalism, and performance in an honorable and ethical manner.

NSWMA Special Governor's Awards
The Special Governor's Award will be presented to members whose contributions to a chapter over the last 12 months, or over a period of time, were particularly meritorious. This award often goes to an individual who is a "go to" person. The award is meant to encourage recipients to remain active in NSWMA and continue developing leadership skills to serve the association.

WASTEC Awards Recipient Archive (2002-2011)
WASTEC Employees of the Year
WASTEC Employees of the Year demonstrate diligence and ingenuity at a WASTEC member company in one of the following three areas:

Engineering: The candidate does not have to be a degreed engineer, but must be involved in the design of a product or in a manufacturing/industrial engineering position. The employee will be judged on contributions in design, evaluation, and manufacturing.

Production: The candidate must be a frontline worker involved in the actual manufacturing/assembling of equipment. The employee will be judged on contributions in the areas of quality, productivity, service, and cost reduction.
- Sales/Marketing: The candidate must be involved in the sales/marketing of their company’s product or service at the representative level. The employee will be judged on specific successes in the areas of sales, marketing, and customer service.
