WASTEC Elects New Officers and Members of Board of Governors

(Washington, DC) – The Waste Equipment Technology Association (WASTEC) announced the election of Bill Wilkerson as Chairman and Robert Mecchi as Vice Chairman to its Board of Governors. Wilkerson is Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Marathon Equipment Company (Vernon, Alabama), and Mecchi is President of Perkins Manufacturing Company (Romeoville, Illinois).
In addition to Wilkerson and Mecchi, WASTEC elected representatives to its Board of Governors. Margie Campbell, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for New Waste Concepts, Inc. (Perrysburg, Ohio); Anthony F. Ciofalo, Northern Region Sales Manager for Autocar, LLC (Maple Grove, Minnesota); Daniel A. Donofrio, Manager for Vocational Sales at Sterling Truck Corporation (Redford, Michigan); and Jeffrey Swertfeger, Director of Marketing and Communications for McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing, Inc. (Dodge Center, Minnesota) were elected for the first time as representatives to the Board. And Melissa Gauger, Marketing Manager of International Truck and Engine Corp. (Warrenville, Illinois) was re-elected as a representative to the WASTEC Board.
Also, Craig Williams, Regional Director for the Waste Industry of Commercial Credit Group, Inc. (Madison, Wisconsin); Gaetan Bolduc, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development of Machinex Technologies, Inc. (Chicago, Illinois); Mike Savage, President and CEO of PTR Baler & Compactor Company (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania); and Phil Daetwyler, President and CEO of E-Z Pack Manufacturing, LLC (Cynthiana, Kentucky) were elected to be alternates to the WASTEC Board of Governors.

The new board terms start in January 2009. Governors are eligible to serve on the Board for six years; although, they must be re-elected annually.
